Hybrid Bikes
Think of a cross between a road and a mountain bike and you basically have a hybrid. Hybrids combine the best features of both bikes.
They have lighter frames than mountain bikes and narrower tyres, with slightly raised handlebars for a comfortable upright position, and they make for easier cycling on shorter paved roads, towpaths, canal paths and forest trails like our own National trust estates.
There are two distinct types of hybrid Traditional (mudguards & carrier as standard) and Sport Hybrid which as the name suggests are generally lighter and sporty looking often mistaken for mountain bikes because of their styling.
Hybrid bikes have really come to the forefront with the recent increase in urban and commuter cycling. With our range of Trek, Felt, Forme, Raleigh and Halycon Hybrid bikes we are sure to have something to suit all.
